Windows 7 officially launched today

October 22 has finally arrived so as the much hyped Microsoft Windows 7. Windows 7 was announced a year back with some screenshots, but Microsoft was in no hurry to roll out their new OS after the debacle of Windows Vista.

Microsoft reveals Windows 7 official pricing, pre-orders starting tomorrow

Microsoft has officially announced Windows 7 pricing and availability. Windows 7 will be available for sale starting October 22 and it comes cheap when compared to Vista.
Current Windows XP and Windows Vista users can upgrade to Windows 7 by paying $119.99 for Home Premium, $199.99 for Professional edition and $219.99 for the ultimate edition.

Microsoft has just now released second Service Pack of its much criticized Windows Vista. They have released standalone installers for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Service pack 2 for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.
