Sling confirms that it didn’t change iPhone SlingPlayer for AT&T approval

AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega claims that the Sling media has not made any changes to the code to suit the carriers, this quote reveals that SlingPlayer for iphones is finally set to use AT&T’s 3G networks. The Sling media too confirms the same, that they did not make any changes and there were no discussions regarding the specific requirements to the app with AT&T yet.
3G functioning was approved for WiFi streaming last year basing on this they were no changes being implemented to the SlingPlayer for iphone apps. The optimization code which AT&T suggested yesterday that dynamically adjusts the bandwidth based on network conditions and picture quality has been in place from the beginning.
CEO of AT&T, Ralph de la Vega adds that, “Sling Media was willing to work with us to revise the app to make it more bandwidth sensitive. They made important changes to more efficiently use 3G network bandwidth and conserve wireless spectrum so that we were able to support the app on our 3G mobile broadband network.”
AT&T is planning to bring up pressure and allow 3G streaming for SlingPlayer suggesting Sling media to rework their app before there are being used.
