PVI to produce flexible color touchscreen tech for eReaders

The e-Reader market is doing quiet good now-a-days and more companies are coming with a new kind of device of their own to make the benefit out of it. But most of the e-Readers do lack the color screen capability when seen from a publisher standpoint. If the screens are capable of handling multiple colors, we see more publishers making e-Readers as their publishing platform.Prime View International (PVI) is in a move to release out an electrophoretic displays (EPDs) in 2010 that will support animation as well as touch interfaces. The company is looking forward to reveal out touch screens this year with full of color. The PVI touch capable eReaders will use pressure sensors under the screens rather than on top of the screen alike the current eReaders. Using the sensor under the screen will increase transmittance. Screens produced this year will also have response times capable of supporting animation.
