Rumor: Google is working towards a Chrome OS based tablet

Is Google looking forward to launch the Google Chrome OS on touchscreen devices? We don’t know how far this is true, but the rumors have wide spread and whoever hears is excited to know about it. Google’s Senior Product Manager of Search, Anders Sandholm replied in a tactful way saying that at present they are targeting netbooks as well as desktop computers and keeping their fingers cross.

But the rumors can’t be stopped and the proofless news is that the Google is working with hardware partners such as HTC to unleash a Chrome OS based tablet or touchscreen netbook. Adding strength to the spread rumors, HTC recently confirmed that they are working out on tablet prototypes but the key focus is on smartphones as of now.

Adding to the above rumors, Google might release a 10.1-inch touchscreen netbook.
