kingstondtp sg Kingston to replace affected secure USB flash drives with new models

The security is a major concern for the flash drives which are portable and carried anywhere with ease, especially for the business people who carry confidential information in the drives. Kingston reacted positively for the flaw notified in their flash drives by a third party company and would like to replace the affected devices with new models.

Kingston has confirmed that they will replace the affected drives such as DataTraveler BlackBox (DTBB), DataTraveler Secure – Privacy Edition (DTSP) and DataTraveler Elite – Privacy Edition (DTEP) with new models using updated security. The company is going to replace the DTBB with a FIPS-certified flash drive while the DTSP and DTEP will be replaced with the DataTraveler Vault – Privacy Edition.
