Nvidia delays Fermi GPU to March 2010?
NVIDIA’s DirectX 11-compatible Fermi has been delayed until March 2010 because of some defects, and is not ready to be exhibited at CES scheduled to be held at Las Vegas on January 7-10, according to DigiTimes. NVIDIA has declined to comment on the reasons for the delay of Fermi chips which are first scheduled to release in November, then postponed to CES. The first chip to be arrived in March from the NVIDIA is the Fermi-GF100 using GDDR5 memory, while a GF104 version for Q2 2010 is set to release to target the high-end market with its GeForce GTX295/285/275/260.
ATI are making their plans to introduce 40nm Radeon HD 5670/5570 (Redwood) and HD 5450 (Cedar) GPUs in January or February 2010, according to the same sources.
