The viewers who are closely following the much hyped Logitech’s Squeezebox Touch and desperately waiting for its release might be disappointed again, as they need to wait until February 2010 due to an unexpected product delay, though the touchscreen media streamer planned to launch the device for the holidays. The reason for the delay is not known.

The Squeezebox Touch has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, supports music playback with a sampling rates of up to 24 bits at 96 kHz for use with an existing speaker system though the device has no integrated speakers and is attached with a traditional remote to operate it from a distance. The device can access music from a local network and also stream Internet radio, and a Wi-Fi b/g connected digital photo frame to pull the pictures from Flickr and other sources as well.

The Squeezebox Touch has been delayed from September to December and now to February, 2010. Hope this time it is fixed and there will be no more delays. The device is expected to come with a cheaper price tag of $299 than that of Sonos, when it launches in February, 2010.
