Micron debuts a new SATA based 6Gb/s SSDs named as RealSSD C300 available in 2.5-inch and 1.8-inch form factors and claims to be the fastest SSD available for notebooks and PCs, but will release in fewer quantities as of now and ships in full production in the first quarter of 2010. The RealSSD C300 comes in 128GB and 256GB storage. SSDs are claimed to run faster than traditional HDDs with its SATA 6Gb/s interface instead of 3Gb/s most seen in SSDs.

The new RealSSD C300 reads the data with a speed up to 355MB/s and a writes with a  speed up to 215MB/s. “The RealSSD C300 has already scored 45,000 on the PC Mark Vantage HDD benchmark”, says Micron.
