Sony Walkman X-series firmware update v1.10 improves browser performance

Sony announces a new firmware update to their Walkman X- Series with a sole purpose to boost the performance of the browser. The new firmware update software helps the NetFront browser to fetch the pages faster rate than before giving you the same feel as you are browsing on your Desktop with faster scrolling speeds.

The update is integrated with a link to Microsoft’s Bing search engine along with the ability to search within local music folders, handling the drag-and-drop of files well with a new Content Transfer app. Japan’s Impress AV Watch provides some insight into improvements that include faster page load times, improved scrolling speeds, and more faithful page renderings to the originals. The firmware update is available for free.
