AT&T Offers New Prepaid Wireless plans – Day,Week,Month basis

We often feel bad if our money goes waste without making its full use. Same is the case with the plans offered with the mobile broadband, as we have to pay even though we access less or none. AT&T has come up with new short term 3G connectivity at day, week and month plans with no contract and gives you the luxury to pay for what you use.
For a full day or 24 hour access it offers 75MB of data and costs you $15, the week package offers 250MB of data and charges you $30, whereas the month pass has 500MB of data and 30 days of access for $50. As of now, you can get the DataConnect Pass available at AT&T certified netbooks and laptops only.
When coming to its other side, the data usage offers are not that great as the customer may run out before their time is over. If that happens, users would need to purchase a new pass again to access the internet. Perhaps the most disappointing thing with the new passes is that there appears to be no modem available to take advantage of the service.
The pay per use offer comes with a limitation, as if the customers want to use the DataConnect Pass they must need a previously unactivated SIM card to install into their computer. The SIM cards can be purchased at any AT&T location. Once the SIM card is installed into a compatible computer, a WiFi or Ethernet connection is needed to complete the setup.
“This is about choice and flexibility — giving our customers more ways to match their own data needs, on their own time and with their own budget,” said Mark Collins, senior vice president-Voice and Data Products, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.
