Dell Goes Green with “Bamboo Based” Packaging For Dell Mini 10 and 10v Netbooks

Dell is a multinational technology corporation that develops, manufactures, sells, and supports personal computers and other computer-related products. To ship a product after its completion of manufacturing process, they will be busy with its packaging. Dell’s approach to use renewable bamboo for its packaging is appreciable, as it not only reduces the usage of paper, foam and helps the environment to keep it green. The first product to be shipped with new style of bamboo packaging is Dell’s Inspiron Mini 10 and Mini 10v netbooks. To your surprise, the new environment friendly outer box is made with 25% post-consumer recycled materials.
Dell would like to continue the bamboo packaging for the products they release in 2010. Dell purportedly reports that bamboo is so strong alike steel, prevents soil erosion and shows an expansion of 24 inches in its size per day. Dell is importing the bamboo from China, but far from the habitat of those bamboo-eating pandas China is widely popular for.
Other companies too might follow the bamboo packaging as it saves the money and can do their part to keep the environment green. Isn’t it good to follow others, if we benefit from it and help the ambience around us..?
