Qualcomm Unveils New MSM7×30 Smartphone Chipsets
Qualcomm is gearing up for the Smartphone challenge. It plans to release the commercial chipsets for the Smartphone’s by flag end of 2010. Smartphone’s have really caught up the lime light and are revolutionizing the way phones are functioning. It indirectly requires high processing capability and Qualcomm believes this will the answer.
Now, it has released a new chipset MSM 7X30 families. Enhancement of processing capability in combination with enhanced instruction set is the mantra. Indirectly, what it means to the end user is the vivid multimedia performance, like HD video recording and playback. When coming to Gaming, this supports 2D and 3D graphic cores and GREATER experience and is added with a high resolution camera, as high as 12MP.
One among the series is MSM 7230 for HSPA+ networks and MSM 7630 for multimode HSPA+/EV-DO rev.B networks. These new chipsets are built using Scorpion CPU found in the Snapdragon QSD8X50 chipset already available in the market by Qualcomm. They touted to support Android, WinMO, Brew, and Symbian mobile operating systems.
