HumanWare intros thinnest, lightest BrailleNote Apex Notetaker for the Blind

Decisions taken by the advocacy group and filing a case against Amazon Kindle DX may boost the sales of the HumanWare’s new thinnest and lightest electronic textbook device named BrailleNote Apex specifically designed for the blind to take notes, as they confirm that the Kindle DX eReader is inaccessible to the blind and the universities would stop using it.
The BrailleNote Apex resembles a notebook with no display is 0.73-inches thick and weighs just 1.8 pounds, runs on Windows CE 6 and uses a Braille pin bar for reading purpose just below the QWERTY keyboard. The device is featured with an Intel Atom processor with an attached 8GB of internal storage. An additional SDHC card allows you to expand your storage, if you feel the 8GB memory is not sufficient. The Apex has in-built four USB ports and has access to internet via Wi-Fi, Ethernet and supported with Bluetooth.
The HumanWare has targeted students and professionals who can make best use of their device. The release date and the price of the Apex are yet to be revealed out and the device would really reach the people whom they intended if they can offer at an affordable price.
