Google offers Free Wi-Fi at Select Airports and Virgin America Flights for all this holiday season

Google has come with an offer to give the US travelers free Wi-Fi access during the holiday season in the selected 47 different airports. We know how expensive the Wi-Fi service in the airports and you cannot imagine if you are disconnected from the Internet World even for a while. Google makes way to pass away the time while you are waiting or if there is any delay in catching the flight. Access to internet is more common for the travelers to keep in touch with their friends and relatives, and continue their business deals on the go.
“We’re very happy to extend our Holiday Wi-Fi gift to the millions of people who will spend time in airports over the next few months. We know that this is a very hectic travel season for people, and we hope that free Wi-Fi will make both traveling and connecting with friends and family a little bit easier,” said Marissa Mayer, Vice President of Search Products and User Experience at Google.
Google’s Wi-Fi gift will be accessible till January 15, 2010. Google reports that it has partnered with Boingo Wireless, Advanced Wireless Group, Airport Marketing Income and others to offer the free Wi-Fi service in the 47 airports of various US cities like Las Vegas, San Jose, Boston, Baltimore, Burbank, Houston, Indianapolis, Seattle, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, St. Louis and Charlotte. Google confirms that Burbank and Seattle airports will continue to offer free Wi-Fi indefinitely.
This time there is no personal gain by the Google. Google asks the users who access the service to donate money within their limits and even a small amount is helpful for the benefit of One Economy Corporation or the Climate Savers Computing initiative.
You get bonus with the offer if you are flying to Boston, Seattle, Las Vegas, San Diego or Fort Lauderdale on a Virgin America flight, as you will be given free Wi-Fi access not only when you are in the airport but also even when you are in the air i.e., in-flight.
