BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 is officially launched on Friday and available through Verizon network for the much awaited Storm lovers and its business partners. Customers of Verizon can get the good looking touchscreen smartphone which is available in various options like $179.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate on a 2-year contract, $249.99 on a 1-year contract and $539.99 on the ‘month-to-month’ option. The 3.25-inch BlackBerry Storm 2 is featured with a capacitive technology along with a 480×360 pixels resolution, supported with 3G connectivity and runs on the EVDO Rev A network. Storm 2 runs on the Blackberry OS 5.0 and additionally comes with a 3.2MP camera coupled with an autofocus and image stabilization. The removable battery of 1400mAhr smartphone works fine for 5.5 hours of talk time and 11.2 hours when it is used in standby mode.
