The O2 Germany has been very renowned with its GSM versions. Moreover, couple of days back it has announced formally the DROID which would be called Motorola MILESTONE will be available outside the US at a cost of €549.99 ($816). It will run on the Android 2.0/Éclair which has been launched on Friday.

MILESTONE is powered by a 500MHz TI CPU. The features of it are relatively appealing as it has an 8GB microSD card, whereas the Driod on Verizon comes with a 16GB card. It supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900 and 2100 MHz.

At a dimension of 60×115.80×13.70 mm and a display of 3.7-inch 854 x 480 capacitive touchscreen, the Milestone weighs 165 g and features a 3.7″ WVGA (480×854 pixel) touchscreen, and gets in Google search, Android market, Gmail, Gtalk services  and Motorola’s own MOTONAV turn-by-turn directions app, as the Google maps navigation is available currently in US only.

Also featuring the QWERTY keyboard, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a GPS/sGPS and a G-sensor with an autofocus camera of 5 megapixel and comes with two LED flashes. It will be accessible from O2 Germany, Vodafone Germany and the Phone House. Motorola rate the DROID for up to 6.4hrs talkative or 11.25 days supply, and in fact runtimes have been a genuine cause of revelation for us. The distribution of this gadget has not yet been talked about, but we’ll anticipate a good performance and exhilarating features. Click here to know the full review about DROID.
