We have seen many notebooks which mostly consist of the regular low-voltage Intel’s Atom chip. Now the MSI has come up with its most modern ultraportable, the MSI Wind U230 taking in AMD’s 1.6Hz Neo X2 MV40 as its processor. The gadget is an improved one, updates version to the older MSI Wind 210, with a 12.1-inch LCD screen, a resolution of 1366 x 768, and has a well performing AMD Radeon HD3200 graphics card.

The 2.8 pounds laptop comes with a 4GB of RAM, up to 320GB hard-drive, has both VGA and HDMI as input and output respectively, a USB 2.0 and Ethernet ports, an in/out audio, a multi-format card reader, Wi-Fi (b/g/n) connectivity and optional Bluetooth to meddle with. This ultraportable version appears to be sensibly boosting the graphics performance and using Windows 7 Home Premium instead of the Vista.

Additionally it is also featured with a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a three-battery (optional 6-battery) that delivers utmost four hours of work which is convincingly vigorous. The cost of this device is not yet revealed but taking into consideration that the older model sells with a MSRP of $430 we can presume that the new MSI Wind U230 ultraportable will sell close to $400.
