Motorola and O2 have finally come out breaking the suspense surrounded over its European version of the Motorola DROID smartphone has been announced officially, Motorola MILESTONE which runs on Android 2.0, the GSM version of the Verizon ADROID which we were talking about in the last week.  The MILESTONE will be available first in Germany and then in Italy via mobile phone networks, O2 and Vodafone.

Coming to its specs, it is featured with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display which lacks in the DROID and is embedded with a 900/2100 UMTS/WCDMA support along with a quadband GSM  and a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, a 5-megapixel camera supported with dual LED flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition to the above, the Motorola MILESTONE is powered with Google Apps like Google Maps Navigation to inform you about directions, Google Talk, Google Mail and You Tube. As of now, only the beta version of it is available in the US.

There is no word on release date and pricing of the device yet. Whereas we already know that the device would reach users on November 9th with a price tag of €404.20 before taxes ($595) for business customers.
