Sony is known for its appealing and diversity of gadgets, even when the machines might be expensive. Sony’s VAIO TT may have conceded but the company has come up with the new Sony VAIO X, a 11.1-inch measuring a half-inch thick weighing 1.5 pounds and uses materials such as carbon-fiber for the chassis and aluminum keyboard.

The specifications of this Sony are yet to be confirmed but few details have been leaked. Its incredible size 16mm thick makes it thinner than a MacBook Air. Right now runs a 2GHz Intel Atom processor with a 31Wh battery. It also provides us with two USB 2.0 ports, a VGA output, an Ethernet port and a SD/Memory Stick Slot. We get a meager 2GB of RAM, 533MHz bus speed, WWAN SIM slot and although 256GB of SSD storage sustain the finest message.

The exterior of the Sony VAIO X will be obtainable in both dull and glossy finishes, though the display is matte. Sony VAIO X will see its official commence in October 2009 and it is also probable that a CULV version will be announced.

Sony VAIO X is Intel GMA500 and comes with a price tag of $1300. These notebooks are a better alternative to hold on rather than carrying more weight around.
