ASUS has released their first NVIDIA Ion based model – the EB1501. From the images, the eminence looks sensible and elegant too. The EB1501 comes with an integrated optical drive is powered with an Intel’s Atom 330 dual-core CPU and boasts NVIDIA’s 1080p Ion graphics chipset with an output via HDMI which gives you a feel of pretty competent media center PC.

The ASUS Eee Box 1501 is featured with 4GB DDR2-800 RAM, a 250GB 2.5-inch SATA HD, gigabit Ethernet, eSATA and Wi-Fi b/g/n. The drive is a slot-loading DVD burner with the Windows 7 Home Premium as an operating system. Other notable highlights include six USB 2.0 ports, D-sub, a multi-format card reader, audio in/out, S/P/DIF and a WiFi antenna as connectivity. The ASUS will also endow you with a remote control or an optional keyboard/mouse set. There is also a VESA mount added if in case you would favor to hide the EB1501 at the rear end of your flatscreen.

ASUS stand up to the users expectations and put its competitors something to think about. The price of EB1501 is expected to start from €399 ($581) bundled with Windows 7 as one of its features which would be releasing grandly on October 22nd, but we are not sure when this gadget will come up for sale. We have to wait for a while till its release to feel and experience the performance of worthy ASUS nettop.
