iPhone’s Smartphone OS market hits a record 40%

Excluding Asia and Africa the Apple share of the Smartphone market has made its presence all over the world. You would definitely get surprised when you take a look at the report released by the AdMob regarding the share of the market it has occupied over its competitors.
AdMob which is one of the world’s largest mobile advertising marketplace delivers ads displayed on smartphone screens has come up with a report regarding the usage of OS on Smartphones. According to AdMob, the iPhone OS market share has a sharp rise from 33% to 40% within the six months whereas in the North America its market share is at a record hit at 52%.

Along with the iPhone OS, the Symbian OS stood second in the race with 34% which is declined from 43%, whereas the Android platform and webOS have gained 7% and 4% respectively over the same period. But what is interesting here is the webOS which has started with nothing, gained control over 4% of the market within the few months.
