yes you can upgrade your 6-cell batt to 9-cell. i’m already using the 9-cell. my OS is already win7. i also saw the slot for the sim card. but when i tried to insert my sim, it wont fit. i think there has to be a device like an adapter so it would fit.
I love this model. Mine is coming in this week. I suggest anyone who want one try out for their Thing outside of the box contest. http://www.msimobile.com/events/laptopdesign_2009_12/home.aspx MSI is giving away 6 free units. The contest is a skin design competition where the winner is determined by the number of votes he/she gets. I wonder how easy it would be to check with that voting system. Anyway, the cool part is that winning design gets painted on a U210 unit and given to the winner. And the two runner ups get the original black or white unit. and three randomly chosen voters get a free unit each as well. pretty crazy. considering not many people have posted their designs, i think the chances are pretty high to win. hope this information helped.

Nice, any word if you can upgrade to the 9-cell battery? I like the fact that there is a space for a sim card (for 3G connectivity) to go. I saw a video of this netbook running in HD, it looked really smooth. This is a nice step for netbooks, a good 12 inch screen and a good battery life. I heard somewhere that it is standard with vista but you can get a win 7 upgrade coupon or something like that. REgardless, pretty impressive with a low price tag for a netbook.
