LG LG 15 inch OLED TV Planned for September Launch

LG has finally set a stage to launch its largest commercial model, a 15-inch largest OLED display using organic display technology into the market and will give a good competition to Sony’s 11-inch XEL-1. LG announced that they are in a plan to release out their 15-inch Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AM-OLED) display television, earlier than we expected. OLED a thinner one includes self-glowing materials which gives you a better picture quality with great energy efficiency and this display doesn’t need back-lighting.

LG will be unveiling the 15-inch AM-OLED TV at the upcoming IFA 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin in September. DisplaySearch, a search firm expects the market for OLED TV to reach 2.33 million units in 2013 compared with estimated 320,000 units in 2011, according to data provided by LG. LG OLED display will have its release first in Korean stores in November and is expected to be made available for other markets by the next year. LG is also in a move to making of a 40-inch OLED display with which we can enjoy the watching of movies to a great extent from home.
