Toshiba confirms to release Blu-ray notebooks and players by year-end

Toshiba had thrown-away their HD-DVD eighteen months ago as they failed to attract the buyers, now they are focusing on producing Blu-ray devices. Toshiba has finally confirmed that they are going to launch Blu-ray players and notebooks incorporated with Blu-ray drivers by the year-end. They have applied for the membership of Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) and are in a move to make products that support Blu-ray format. They might be targeting millions of consumers who already using DVD’s and looking forward to replace their movies in a new format.

In its press release Toshiba has stated that they have been motivated to produce these products after looking at the growth of Blu-ray products in the market and the demand from consumers and retailers.The company did not reveal any information about the details of the product and the release date of its launch.
