137 Samsung Solstice goes to AT&T
AT&T announced today that a new touch screen, some less priced handset Samsung Solstice will be coming from next month on their network. The handset will provide the access of facebook and Myspace as well. Solstice has 3.0-inch touch screen, landscape QWERTY keyboard, slider control as well as an accelerometer automatically detects motion of the device for rotation, motion sensing games and photo scrolling by tilting the handset.

Another good feature it has that Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface which has been designed to control the phone with user fingertips. User can add widgets that will be used frequently by the users. Some other specs it offers 2.0 megapixel camera, mp3 player, preloaded games, bluetooth, microSD card slot with capacity up to 16GB.

It also includes 3G internet and some AT&T services like Mobile Music and Navigator. Omar Khan, vice president of Samsung stated that “The sleek, compact Solstice brings a rich web browsing and instant access to your favorite social networking sites through widgets and Samsung’s innovative TouchWiz user experience,”.

AT&T intimated, the Solstice will be available from 2nd August for $100 with a two year contract period and monthly messaging or data plan of $20 or more.
