Olympus launches Stylus TOUGH-6010 series

Yesterday, Olympus has launched a new camera Stylus Tough-6010 in their Mju series. They claimed that they designed its casing in such manner that it is to be waterproof up to 3 meters, shockproof up to 1.5 meters and freeze up to -10 degree Celsius (14 degree F).

It offers 12 megapixel and 3.6x zoom options, 2.7-inch LCD screen, dual image stabilization, scene selection and more. It is inherited some features from its predecessors the TAP control mode, that provides user to tap the camera’s top and sides to access various features immediately. It will be available in UK this month and will be priced for £299. Company also planning to release this model in US and Europe market.

To make those shots even more memorable, the µ TOUGH-6010 now features inspiring Magic Filters. By applying Pin Hole, for example, images will seem to have been taken with a traditional pin hole camera. Pop Art, Fish-Eye, and Sketch add interesting effects of their own. What’s more, Dual Image Stabilisation keeps images blur-free even in rough and tumble environments.
