Amazon Kindle comes with electronic textbooks
I always think about idea of reading the books on the go as I cannot carry the heavy weighed books everywhere I go. Google has already put forward to make available its Google Book Search onto mobile phones, saying that it has over 2 million public domain books available now on iPhone and Android devices.
Now Amazon will be releasing a product named, Kindle 2 an e-book reader by the end of this year. Amazon Kindle is a device with wireless connectivity which enables users to download the e-books, magazines, images… etc and view them on the display screen. It is equipped with WiFi, 3G connectivity and also a simple web browser to view text related sites with a display resolution of 600×800. Kindle can also be connected to devices like iphone, kindle DX with whispernet, USB cable and whispersync connectivity and it supports almost all major formats of text, images and music.
According to a report , replacing physical textbooks with Kindles (or other e-book readers) and electronic texts will not only save money, but also provides more up-to-date materials, and reduce the burden on students carrying full of heavy text around their backpacks whereever they go.
Kindle’s internal memory can store about 1500 books, magazines, newspapers, etc at a time and it weights 289 g with a long life rechargeable battery. Another special feature of this device is, it has an ability to read the text for us and supports background music. Another important feature is it downloads and reads the first chapter of the book for free before you decides to buy. It supports both AC adapter charging and USB charging.
