Archos Vision PMPs hitting UK in August, price also revealed

Archos has not only revealed their upcoming PMPs but also their specs, price and availability. They will be launching a new Vision PMP range with 2-inch and 3-inch touchscreen models in August in UK.

The 2-inch touchscreen model, Archos 2 Vision will feature 8GB or 16GB of inbuilt storage with a microSD card slot along with inbuilt FM radio, kinetic scrolling and a photo viewer. Archos 2 Vision PMP will not feature video playback feature. It will be priced at ฃ49.99 ($82). The 8GB model of Archos 2 Vision is already available on Archos’ online webstore for ฃ40 or $65.

The 3-inch touchscreen Archos 3 Vision PMP will feature video playback, 8GB of onboard storage, microSDHC card slot, voice recorder, calendar, stopwatch, FM transmitter for streaming music to your Hi-Fi and a TV cable. It is priced at ฃ89.99 or $147.

Along with the Vision PMPs, Archos will launch a 2GB ultra-mini PMP, Archos Clipper, intended to take on the iPod shuffle. It will be priced at ฃ19.99 or $33 in the UK

Both the Archos 2 Vision, 3 Vision and Archos Clipper will be available in UK this August while the 4-inch and 7-inch versions of Vision PMPs will arrive in the coming fall.

Archos has also announced that their new MID based on Google Android with their own UI will arrive on September 15th.
