LG unveils W2286L 22-inch LED Backlit combo HDTV and monitor

How does it feel if you can use your HDTV as your monitor as well? Pretty good right. LG has has done just that by announcing their first LED backlit HDTV W2286L, which you can use both as a TV and as a monitor.

Apart from that it gives solid 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and consumes 40% less power compared to other 22-inch LCD displays. The less power consumption is due to that Auto Brightness feature which can adjust the backlighting depending on ambient conditions. It also features 1,680 x 1,050 resolution, two HDMI input ports and a DVI port. The thickness of the screen is just 22mm.

W2286L HDTV and monitor will be available in Korea anytime soon. There is no confirmed release date neither its price. LG has also planned its 24-inch model and may ship it in late 2009.
