There are rumors that Intel is planning to launch next generation SSD drives which will have higher disk space and will be cheaper in two weeks from now. According to The Inquirer, the new SSD drives will feature the smaller 34nm NAND chips developed by Intel and Micron. That means the new SSDs will have larger capacities, reduced power consumption, faster performance and also comes at a cheap price. If all goes well according to the rumors SSD disk space as high as 320GB or even more could be launched by Intel after two weeks. The new SSD drives could be as big enough to replace the HDDs in most, if not all laptops. Stay tuned for further updates on this.
