Nvidia Tegra chipset is currently being used in yet to be released Zune HD players focusing on HD videos. Now for the first time a notebook manufactured by Nvidia themselves will feature their Tegra processor. Though Nvidia is manufacturing the notebook it will not be released under its own brand name instead the operators will brand the device and market themselves. The Tegra chipset gives high quality 720p resolution HD videos while consuming less energy which is around 150mW.

Nvidia has not yet finalised the complete specifications of their new notebook apart from Tegra. The company gave hints that it will be priced around $250 and may be available during the christmas on “Black Friday”.

The new notebook prototype model is being built based on notebook manufactured by Mobinnova which features 8.9 inch screen, Wi-Fi, 3G wireless connectivity, webcam for video conferencing and is currently powered on Windows CE Operating System. Nvidia may use Google Android OS in the final product. Now this will be good to see how Android performs on notebooks.

Nvidia has also confirmed that they will releasing a Tegra based mobile phone in late 2009 or early 2010.
