Corsair announces 64GB and 128GB Performance SSDs

Corsair has announced two new Solid State drives in its performance series drives, the P128 and P64 SSDs.

The P128 is a 128GB SSD drive based on company’s successful P256 SSD offering the same read speed of 220MB/sec and write speed of 200MB/sec. The P64 is a 64GB SSD drive is a low density SSD offering read speeds of up to 220MB/sec and write speeds of up to 120MB/sec.

Both the drives use P256 technology including the Samsung controller IC along with the 128MB cache memory and NCQ support.

The P128 and P64 delivers high speed at a low cost. The P128 drive is available now and comes at a price of $339 while price of P64 is not yet announced but it will start shipping in July. Newegg is currently offering $40 rebate on P128.
