Samsung brings new S1 series hard drive in line up

As we already know about Samsung S series hard drive, today they extended their line up by adding two new ‘Pop’ colors- Sweet Pink and Ocean Blue with 160GB density for the 1.8-inch drive. The two new colors has joined with four previously available Piano Black, Snow White, Wine Red and Chocolate Brown. The need to store more photos, music, personal data and other useful information have increased demands in the portable hard drive market.
This range was first launched last October along with the 1.8-inch 120 GB S1 mini external hard drives and 2.5-inch 500 GB S2 portable HDD but the demand point of view they upgraded storage,colors and other features. C.H.Lee, the vice president, storage and sales marketing, Samsung Electronics stated that “With an extraordinary capacity for its small footprint, the Samsung S1 series features low power, portability convenient backup with ease of handling, featuring an ultra-compact credit-card size casing.”
The Auto Backup permits the end user to program the default backup in real time or at a scheduled later time. There also a power saving program that is attentive for drive activities. It sends it into sleep mode if the drive has been dormant for 5 minutes. The new edition of S1 series is being shipping and globally available by end of June.

Samsung’s SecretZone protects important files and data in the form of software-based AES-128bit or AES-256bit encryptions, while SafetyKey ensures the external drive’s data is securely locked with a password protection.
Samsung’s Auto Backup function allows the user to program the default backup in real time or at a scheduled later time.
