iPhone OS 3.0 Available from June 17th Worldwide
Apple has announced today at WWDC that the iPhone OS 3.0 software will be available worldwide on June 17th and today for developers. It will be available for free for iPhone and iPhone 3G customers who want an OS upgrade. While iPod Touch users have to pay $9.95 to get iPhone OS 3.0.
iPhone OS 3.0 will have MMS and tethering option and is available from 29 carriers at launch. AT&T does not feature in that list. Then there is also ” Find my iPhone” feature for MobileMe subscribers through which you can track your lost iPhone on a map through GPS. iPhone OS 3.0 supports a total of 30 languages—including Hebrew, Arabic, Thai, Greek, and Korean.
