win7 logo Microsoft Windows 7 Beta coming in JanuaryAfter much speculation, Micosoft will be releasing its first public beta version of their new Operating System, Windows 7 in mid January. The news was just confirmed by Technet’s Keith Combs.

The attendies of Microsoft Developers Conference (MDC) starting January 13 will be receiving copies of DVDs with Windows 7 Beta in it.  The first to recieve these copies will be the attendies from Chicago and Minneapolis conferences. Although the attendies who have previously attended Microsoft’s conferences will also get their copies.

Although this is the first beta release of Windows 7, it looks like Microsoft has accerlated its roll out plans for Windows 7 giving them plenty of time for the remaining tests throughout 2009 before coming out with the final version maybe in 2009 rather than 2010.
