IPhone users rejoice as AT&T has promised they will be giving free WiFi access to its IPhone users. Checkout what they had to say on this

AT&T knows Wi-Fi is hot, and FREE Wi-Fi is even hotter. Which is why FREE AT&T Wi-Fi access is now available for Apple IPhone at thousands of hotspots nationwide, including Starbucks. Users can relax and access music, email and web browsing services with their favorite blend in hand from the comfort of their nearest location.

Although this service is currently available only in US. AT&T already has nearly 20,000 locations in its national Wi-Fi hotspot network – 8,000 Starbucks locations, 10,000 McDonald’s stores available under contract from hotspot builder Wayport and other roughly 2,000 locations include some hotels, Super Markets, coffeeshop chains and a few airports.

IPhone users can access WiFi at these hotspots by selecting “attwifi” in their wireless networks. In IPhone’s browser when you try accessing any page you will be redirected to a login page which ask your 10 digit cell number. After entering the number a message is sent to you containing link to a secure page. This link will activate WiFi service to you for 24 hours only, although you can reactivate it after 24 hours at same location or different location.
